From humble beginnings to an internationally respected market presence, almost 60 years of quality service and innovative marketing has allowed Singapore Airlines to transform itself into well-respected carrier, winner of numerous awards. Originally offering only three flights each week, currently their net worth makes them the second largest carrier in the world. Singapore Airlines was first to cater for travellers needs by providing free headphones and were responsible for the introduction of in-flight services and luxuries, now adopted by most of the other airlines.

 

 They have a young professional crew and service team and their quality service ensures repeat customers are common, Subsidiaries of the company include SilkAir, the regional wing of Singapore Airlines, Tradewinds Tour and Travel, as well as the industrial giants SIA Engineering Company, SIA Cargo, and SATS

 

 

Fleet

 

Singapore Airlines fleet is one of the most modern in the world with over a hundred aircraft in service and over 50 pending delivery, to facilitate their growing expansion in various regions of the world. With a fleet consisting of exclusively Airbus/Boeing aircraft, passengers are assured of a luxurious flight.

 

Flight Routes

 

Singapore Airlines main hub is located in Changi airport, Singapore. Well-known in Asia, and now becoming a dominant force in the global market, Singapore Airlines also offers direct flights to Los Angeles, Newark and New Jersey in addition to a variety of other Trans-Pacific flights. It currently operates fights to and from Johannesburg (OR Tambo International Airport), Cape Town (Cape Town International Airport), and Durban (Durban International Airport).

 

 

Seating

 

Layouts will differ according to the specific aircraft but regardless of the flight selected, all passengers are assured of a pleasant flight. The standard options are available in economy and business/first class passengers can avail of laptop power, wider seats/recliner options or even suites.
